Gezielt eingesetzte Elastizitäten machen es möglich, die Seitenteile zum Anlegen zu spreizen. Auftragende Scharniere sind überflüssig. Paarige Verschlüsse erhöhen die Bequemlichkeit beim An- und Ablegen. Je nach Wunsch können diese vorne oder hinten angebracht werden.

El empleo de mecanismos de flexibilidad de los materiales, al costado de los brazos, permiten doblar y abrir el aparato lo suficientemente lejos de la persona que lo lleva puesto. Las bisagras son innecesarias. Un par de cierres, uno a cada lado, incrementa la comodidad de ponerse o quitarse el cinturón. Los condados pueden estar alternativamente ubicados en la parte de atrás del dispositivo.

So kann es nicht aufgebrochen werden, ohne gleichzeitig das Dessous zu zerstören. Bei zwei Verschlüssen sind beide Schlösser gleichschließend, man benötigt also nur einen Schlüssel, um beide zu öffnen. Als Sonderanfertigung kann der Verschluss mit Vorhängeschloss oder Sicherung durch Plomben erfolgen. Codierte Kunststoff-Plomben vermindern die Entdeckungsgefahr bei Flughafenkontrollen.
