Reinholds Schutzdessous bestehen aus einem Glas-Kohlefaser-Verbund mit hochwertigem Sicomin-Epoxid. Das Material ist zwischen 2 und 4 mm dick und nur am Verschluss etwas stärker. Es ist in hohem Maße widerstandsfähig gegen Chemikalien und verhält sich deshalb gegenüber Schweiß und anderen Körperflüssigkeiten völlig neutral. Die Oberfläche kann in verschiedenen Farben lackiert werden. Auch die Lackschicht besitzt gute Hautverträglichkeit und Chemikalienresistenz. Bei rauer Oberbekleidung muss sie an besonders beanspruchten Stellen allerdings gelegentlich erneuert werden (ggf. in Eigenleistung möglich).
Reinholds Protective Underwear are made of glass- and carbon-fibers, that are embedded into high-grade Sicomin-epoxy composite. The thickness of the straps varies from 2 to 4 millimeter in strength (approximately 0.08 to 0.16 inch). Only the closures need to be stronger to accommodate the locks. The material is to a high degree resistant to many kinds of chemicals and therefore it is completely neutral to sweat and other bodily fluids. The surface may be varnished in your favorite color. Also the lacquer is eudermic and chemically robust. In case of rough clothes some highly stressed spots might occasionally need a renewal (eventually you can do it yourself).

El grosor de los cinturones varía de 2 a 4 milímetros en la fuerza (alrededor de 0,08 a 0,16 pulgadas). Sólo el cierre necesita ser más fuerte para dar cabida a los candados. El material  tiene un alto grado de resistencia a muchos tipos de productos químicos y por consiguiente, es completamente neutral al sudor y otros fluidos corporales. La superficie puede ser barnizada con su color favorito. Así mismo, la laca es como piel y químicamente fuerte. En caso usar alguna ropa áspera algunos ojetes muy ajustados podrían ocasionalmente necesitarían un arreglo (eventualmente, puede hacerlo usted mismo).

Das Reinholds Schutzdessous bietet ernsthaft effektive Sicherheit. Es kann nicht mit einfachen Werkzeugen zerstört werden, dazu würde man elektrisches Kraftwerkzeug benötigen. Jedes Material lässt sich jedoch mit den geeigneten Werkzeugen zerstören. Selbst Edelstahl bietet keinen Schutz vor Eisensägen. Und das ist auch gut so, denn es könnte in einem Notfall tragisch sein, wenn die schützende Struktur tatsächlich aus völlig unzerstörbarem Material wäre. Vom Fachmann kann das Material fast ohne Verletzungsgefahr für den Träger durchtrennt werden. 
Reinholds Protective Underwear offers serious and effective security. It cannot be destroyed by simple tools. To break free, electric power-tools are required. Every material can be dealt with the appropriate instrument. Although stainless steel is a synonym for durability, it cannot withstand a hacksaw. Actually it is good the way it is, because otherwise an emergency, that demands removal of the structure, might turn out fatal in case of absolutely indestructible material. A professional will be able to cut the belt at a minimum threat of injury to the wearer.
